Joey Fatone is an American pop icon, actor, television host, Broadway star, and entrepreneur whose career spans more than three decades across stage, screen, and the culinary world.

Early life & rise to fame

Born Joseph Anthony Fatone Jr. on January 28, 1977, in Brooklyn, New York, he grew up surrounded by music; his father, Joe Sr., sang in the Brooklyn doo-wop group The Orions. Fatone made his screen debut at age seven alongside Robert De Niro in Once Upon a Time in America. By age 17, while performing in the Beetlejuice Graveyard Revue at Universal Studios Florida, Fatone met Chris Kirkpatrick, paving the way for the formation of *NSYNC.

As a cornerstone of *NSYNC, Fatone achieved historic pop superstardom. The group's self-titled 1998 debut album sold over 10 million copies, earning them an American Music Award for Favorite Pop/Rock New Artist, while their landmark 2000 album No Strings Attached shattered records by moving 2.4 million copies in its first week.

    Played Lance in the Tony-nominated jukebox pop musical & Juliet at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre on Broadway and in a limited national tour engagement. Previous Broadway and stage roles include Mark Cohen in Rent, Seymour Krelborn in Little Shop of Horrors, Dennis Dupree in Rock of Ages at The Venetian in Las Vegas, The Producers, and 42nd Street.

    Portrayed fan-favorite Cousin Angelo across the My Big Fat Greek Wedding franchise (including 2002's original, My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2, and 2023's My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3). Other film credits include On the Line, The Cooler alongside William H. Macy and Alec Baldwin, Homie Spumoni alongside Whoopi Goldberg, the 2022 comedy Cursed Friends, and voice work as Ablaze in Trolls Band Together.

Fatone also teamed up with bandmate Lance Bass to host the original mixology competition series Cocktail Wars. Earlier hosting and producing credits include The Singing Bee, Celebrity Circus, The Singing Office with Melanie Brown, Live Well Network's My Family Recipe Rocks!, and Food Network's Rewrapped.

    Placed second on Season 4 of ABC's Dancing with the Stars in 2007 and captivated viewers on Fox's The Masked Singer as the Rabbit, showcasing his showmanship and sleight-of-hand illusions.

Culinary ventures

Channeling his lifelong passion for food, Fatone founded Fat★One's Hot Dogs and Italian Ice alongside business partner Joe Mulvihill. Starting in Orlando in 2016 and growing through food trucks and brick-and-mortar storefronts, the brand, known for oversized all-beef hot dogs and signature Brooklyn Flats fries, expanded to Universal CityWalk Orlando, bringing Fatone's journey full circle back to the theme park where his entertainment career first took flight.
